WOOHOO I was so excited I was so close to 25kg gone when I stepped on the scales this morning that I totally missed what a huge weight loss I have had this week. Very impressed.

Keeping me awake now is Breaking Dawn. Unbelievable. The Twilight Series reminds me of, but is so much better than the Virginia Andrews - Flowers in the Attic series.

As any long term reader would know I am a daily weigher. But I have regarded Wednesday as my official weigh in day for a little while now thanks to the fact that I can use the wanky term "Weighty Wednesday" and have something specific to blog about on Wednesdays. LOL Sad huh! Yup it’s come to that.

But I haven’t been a good blogger at all so Welcome to my Weighty Wednesday.

Yesterday I weighed significantly less – That’s a bastard huh? But that’s what you get when you spend all night reading Eclipse and eat dinner at around midnight. Oops.

4th Goal!

Hi all!

I have reached my 4th weight loss goal!

I weighed in this Wednesday at 104.4kg which is 22.5kg gone! I have based all of my goals around being under the next marker so under 120 = 119.9kg or under 105kg = 104.9kg

My next goal is 99.9kg. It brings me into the double digits. It's a very exciting goal and I am already on my way forward with it.

I finally went and had my 1st weight loss goal reward last weekend. I went with a girlfriend to go and see New Moon last saturday. Let me tell you - I've become an addict! For ages and ages I have thought all you "twilight freaks" were a tad weird. Like everyone who raved about Lord of The Rings and Harry Potter etc. I was so over hearing all about it.

I dragged her here to watch the first one on the big screen we have as she needed cheering up. (Self sacrificing me of course haha) And it was absolutely awesome (save some "special" effects) and I couldn't wait to get to the movies and see New Moon.

Having not read the books it was all completely new to me. But the ending oh the ending !

Now I have to read the books. I have no time to read the books but I am getting there slowly. There is so much more information in there than there was in the movies but I am loving the read. I love that I can see the scenes from the movie as I read the story. It's such an easy to read book too.

My parents would be mortified. Ah wells. I can't believe I have been sucked in. But I do adore it now.

On to my next goal - I need to have my full body massage. I have seen Avenue Q (thank God cause there is an ending to these things) I'm not sure about the Series 2 Underbelly reward. I might do something else. Maybe, Oh who knows.

Up Next - a new laptop bag. It's been on my list since forever (Was on my original list too)

Fat-astic Friday

Well how are you all?

I have been quiet of late. It's all due to me doing more facebooking, working and various other activities than blogging. I have made it a goal of mine to return to weekly blogging at a minimum and there is someone who promised to keep me accountable. (Hi Nicky!)

I've started a new challenge over at We Are Slimming which I have mentioned a thousand times before but will mention again because I know you aren't all readers / members of We Are Slimming yet and if you are looking to lose weight then you should be!

On our last challenge I tried to minimilise my goals and ended up not acheiving a single one of them (after blitzing the challenge prior) so I have gone back to a mighty long list of goals.
♥ Lose 5kg (Be 103kg or under)
♥ Report in every week on WAS
♥ Blog at least once a week
♥ Reduce Snacking
♥ Track all food
♥ Swim Weekly minimum
♥ Improve on laps per half hour (currently 24)
♥ Start Power plate training
♥ Drink water daily
♥ Remove Implanon
♥ Move more everyday
♥ Beat Ali

The goals were set Wednesday last week and this is the first blog post so I am really going to have to move my butt if I am going to make this challenge work for me. Actually reposting this was a good idea cause I was religiously tracking my food (for the first time in my life) when I set this goal and then my computer died and my tracking (which was in my phone) was erased when I synced my phone the next time. So I cracked it and stopped tracking (oops)

Maybe I should print these goals for myself so I can read them everyday. This is one of the things that I found was a huge help to me when doing Body - For - Life. I would read over every goal morning and night. And "touch base" with myself and my progress every day.

Oh I also had a mad cool chart that I used to use that got coloured in when I did something right. That chart was so motivating! I always wanted my colours up there.

So I started the challenge on Wednesday 21st at 108kg. And I weighed in this week at 108.1kg

Starting waist measurement is 111cm. Which is impressive when you think about it, because when I got engaged I had a waist measurement of 131cm! So I'm hovering at just under 20kg gone but 20cm gone from my belly!

I'm getting really peeved with the whole thing though as I've stalled, and stayed put for SO LONG! It's so frustrating that I know something has to change but I'm really, just a bit lost.

Did you notice anything in my last post??

Yup! I reached the next goal this morning! I'm going to have to push back my pedi a bit as I still can't have my foot or ankle touched by anyone. So FH and I are going to go see Avenue Q!!! I am so excited about that.

Now cause I don't have my water marking program on here lets hope my photos don't end up anywhere dodgy.

Hi ALL!

I know I have been a very bad blogger haven't I! My sincerest (is that a word) apologies.

Not that much has been going on in my life so I haven't felt the urge to be writing about boringness, knowing that no one would want to read about boringness. But on the other hand I would love to increase my readership. Any of you popular bloggers got some tips and tricks on how I do that? I'll admit to loving the attention :P

Now are you ready for a catch up? Grab a cuppa and go to the loo cause this could be a long one.

So as you all know I made a return to work and quickly went out and bought myself the car of my dreams. You girls are all too damn funny with your name suggestions!

Cara - I can't call it Jadey that's my name and all too confusing! I did like Diamond though.
Sharon - Montgomery seriously?? Future Hubby read that and was like yup it's settled Montgomery it is. Nooooo.
Sharon, Beck and Wanna - BAZZA????? Honestly girls who's on drugs here and how did you all come up with such a bogan name for my purdy Pajero. hahahahaha I'm thinking Pumpy - Future Hubby (FH from here on in) is in total denial about the whole thing and refuses to accept it but I think it's funky! He thinks it me

Chris - Maybe I gotta offer up a prize to get a cool name like Roxy :p

I think I am going to make FH happy for now and name him Montgomery.

Monty and I have become very close friends. I absolutely adore him. I am very happy to say that he doesn't use more fuel than my old car and he is so much easier to drive. So much easier to park! It's smaller and a can see the corners AND it has the reversing sensors. Oh dreamboat.

My return to work on the other hand seems to have been fairly short lived. I was back in the club but not having all that much luck. I wasn't really doing my own job so I felt like I wasn't doing all that I could to be effective in my position. In fact I felt really useless.

I got sent off to a summit where we were supplied with some extra training and responsibility which was awesome. I learnt so much in my time there! Plus I got to spend the night in a hotel at Bondi Beach and woke up to a short walk down to the beach to spend the morning sitting on the boardwalk there soaking up the sunshine and people watching. It was amazing! Great way to start the day. My poor colleagues were being dragged through bootcamp on the beach but I am sure they are all the better for it (even if it was after a night of hard drinking and no sleep)

We learnt about something called Insights. Which is kind of like personality typing I suppose. You learn about what drives you (and those around you) and why people are like they are. I came up a strong Yellow with Strong Green and Red behind me also.

Yellow is bubbly and loving. They are people that love attention. They want to be included in everything and HATE to be left out. It's like a personal insult. (even when it's not) It is quite energetic. Yellow needs to be loved. Hence the need for more readers or commenter's or both. And the Look at me! Personality I sometimes display.

Green is very caring and compassionate. This is the side that has me worried about people in the middle of the night. I'm sure this is the side of me that makes me cry when people I don't even know die (not celebrities just anyone!) This is the part of me that wants to do whatever I can to help. That takes time out for people even when it's to my own detriment.

And Red is the total opposite! I'm generally red when I'm mad or determined. Red is the fire in me. It's me when I have a short fuse. It's the determination, driven, get in my way and get run over girl. It can be nasty. It doesn't come out much in the bad way thank goodness because Yellow and Green dominate.

Isn't it interesting. If I had my book here or could even seem to successfully google the information I am looking for it I could give you so much better and more thorough explanations of what I just said. I want to do the official test and find out exactly where I fit but it costs. one day one day.

After the summit I raised some concerns about me actually implementing what I had learnt with my regional manager. He completely understood which is great. He's a nice bloke and we get along well. Surprisingly though when I returned to work on Monday I was able to do my job without a hassle.

There was a couple of things that are still a sticking point so on Tuesday morning my Regional manager Hr and myself met to chat and I have moved workplace for a little while to head office. It's tripled my fuel bill and the tolls suck but it's going to give me an opportunity to a) be useful b) stay off my feet and c) become an absolute admin whizz. So it'll be very useful when I do return to my normal duties.

OK off of boring day to day work and onto TUPPERWARE!

I am having so much fun with Tupperware and to be honest it is so rewarding even in these early early days. I have earnt so much stuff for free and I am feeling really good about my decision to become a Tupperware lady. I am not doing as many parties as I would like to yet (Book me now before I get too busy) But I am sure it's coming. My Fan Page on Facebook seems to be pretty popular but I'd love it if you could join (My Tupperware Lady) and if you are already there invite your friends. The wider the audience the better!

We released the Spring / Summer catalogue a couple of weeks ago and as of today it became public! I love it! There are so many awesome products. Some great new stuff. A return of some of the older stuff and new colours in other ranges. It's gorgeous and fun. And really reminds you of the warmer weather. If you want a copy feel free to send an email to me at tupperwarejadey@hotmail.com and give me your postal address and I'll get one in the mail to you.

It's such a great business opportunity with so many rewards as well as cash. But also it's fun! I get to sit with people and have a chat and enjoy a scone or cake or both (oops) and a cuppa with them. And I don't even have to sell! It does that by itself. Not many haven't heard of Tupperware and everyone needs it.

If you are in Sydney and want to come play in a Sales Meeting with me one night and see behind the scenes make sure you let me know won't you. Cause I would love to bring you along as my guest :) No pressure to join or anything.

Oh MAN I sound like I'm part of AMWAY! Nooooo not me. Sorry this is definitely NOT Amway.
Now despite all the cookies and scones and cake I am still managing to lose weight. Although I have remained at the same weight for the last 6 days! HOW FRUSTRATING, I think staying the exact same weight every morning is even more frustrating than going up a bit going down a bit etc. Actually no! I'll take staying the same instead of going up. It gives me hope that it's fluid or something.

So where am I at?

Well I started at 126.9 kgs (shock fucking horror how the hell did I get there?)
And as of this morning (and for the last 6 days running) I have weighed in at 111.8 kgs

That's a loss of 15.1 kgs or Biggest Loser style 11.9% of my total Body Weight

How cool is that? I really can't complain. For those that forget or those of you just joining the program. I have a goal of 64kgs in time for my wedding which will be March 2011 if I get my act together and plan it between now and then. So I have 47.8 kgs to go to goal.

The other day I found a very rare Cadbury Cream Egg supplier and I took a bite and threw half of it in the bin! Like What The????

You see I have also set myself mini goals along the way and I have achieved 2 of these now and I am eager to achieve the 3rd. Now it would also be good if I had actually treated myself to the 2 goals I have achieved but I am sure it's coming (One is movies gold class for which I have the tickets already and one is a full body massage which I also have a voucher for) The Next goal to achieve is for a deluxe pedi. But I am thinking of switching that with something else since I can hardly touch my foot thanks to the surgery and so therefor there would be nothing deluxe about a foot massage at this stage and no pedi is deluxe without one. The next goal marks me getting under 110kgs so 109.9 kgs. I can smell it!

I think I really need to be getting on the bike and swimming a bit more though. Well that's the fakest thing ever cause I'm not getting on the bike or swimming at all. So I actually need to do it! It will help rehab my ankle and help me burn some extra calories.

We Are Slimming is having another challenge starting Monday! It's a 6 week Keep it Simple Challenge so feel free to join in with us. People are setting goals for the challenge already I gotta admit I am still working on mine. WAS is an awesome and supportive forum. The girls are all so close and really care about how you are going and that kind of thing.

Ah well - it's past time for this lil chook to get some zzz's I hope you are all doing well. I promise to catch up on some bloggy reading in the next few days if you promise to feed my yellow and comment a bit more (haha)

I'll try and comment on your blogs too!

59 / 84

I know I have taken too long between blogs when I have to go back and check on what the hell my last blog actually said.

Well I lasted just over a week at work. Then on Monday night I had really aching horrible pains running down my entire left leg. I had freaked out at first thinking it was a blood clot or something. I took Tuesday off and took myself to the doctor. The Doctor has a theory that it may be pinched nerves in my back. Lucky aren't I? So I am off work again until Monday unless my back get better beforehand. And if it doesn't I'm off for further testing.

I'm not going so well with my physio exercises cause now I'm resting again. Ah well. Shame it also screws up the goals I set for myself on Monday haha. (See bottom of page). While I am resting up though I should update my 101 list. I have started ticking off some things. (yay)

Jason cancelled our foxtel subscription this week and it all finished up yesterday. I am so happy about this as Foxtel is the hugest waste of money! Honestly it cost us $130 a month to watch TV!!!! Screw that. There is plenty on free to air available. I need to get myself a longer antenna cord to plug my PVR in so I can record the shows I normally watch again.

In other news I am buying myself a new car! (YAY) And finally I am getting what I want. Yes. After 8 years of looking and longing I am buying a Pajero. I never liked the 4 door ones and the return of the 2 door 2 years ago excited me no end. Now I am only days away from my new car and I am too excited. (And can you tell if anything gets in my road I will be totally crushed)

It's not my preferred colour. But silver is nice too. It's the second choice to black. It's got a full leather interior with heated seats. A sunroof and a few other factory options. It's so nice to drive. It's not entirely practical so I said to Jase if I don't get one now I will never be able to because a) they are being discontinued again in Australia and b) I don't think it practical for multiple children. In fact it might even be hard work with one. (I might borrow a baby with their capsule and find out hahahaha)

The next thing to decide on is do I pay the yearly $440 for my personalised number plates? I love them. I really do. But I hate that NSW makes you lease them and you never own them. Maybe I'll register it in Victoria where I can buy the plates for $495 and never pay again and own them. It's an option I am lucky to have.

Weight loss wise Operation Wedding Dress is well underway. I am still dropping weight and seeing successes. My measurements are well down on my beginning point and I am feeling really good. I am setting my goals and reporting on them every week on the We Are Slimming forums (as well as here) and seem to be acheiving the majority of them. Sure I miss some things but I am only human and I am accepting of that.

I am still weighing daily which also helps to keep me on track but my main weigh in day is Monday and I accept whatever that weight is on the day up or down knowing that it's a process and one that will take some time. As long as the trend continues downwards I am on the right path.

This week when I weighed in on Monday I was very happy with the results! This week saw me burst through the 10kg mark! This is such a great feeling. I am really happy about doing what's right for me. I can't wait to start doing some exercise!

Now I have been reading and catching up on all your blogs. I will try to be better with the comments but if you are dropping by here for a read please comment so I know you were here. It makes a girl feel loved you know LOL

42/84 - A TupperChick and A Bride 2 Be

Hey all!

Well what a big weekend that was! Friday night I was so happy to catch up with some of the blogger girls from Sydney. It was great to see Margaret again and catch up with Simmo but it was also great to meet Jodie, Chantel, Krissie, Cath and Sam.

We had a brilliant dinner and I split a share with Simmo. We both ordered a main and had half each. One was Blakeys Beef which was an amazing garlic and something marinated diced sirloin steak and the other was a beautiful spicy salt whitebaits. Both soo yummy.

Jason was sooo good to bring me into the city and pick me up. I love that man. (Warm fuzzies)

Saturday was my Tupperware Announcement party. It was my official "open for business" I suppose. In preparation I made way too much food but somehow it all got eaten. We had such a good time as my manager Annika came and did a basic demo for us. Thanks so much to Loz, Carissa and of course the fabulous Margaret for coming along and for helping me get off the ground with my new business.

From there we went straight out to a birthday party for another friend. Anne is such a beautiful person I was so happy to help her celebrate her birthday and we had a fun night.

Sunday morning I met Loz down at Luna Park for the Sydney Bridal Expo. It was at the crystal palace which I love as an idea for a wedding reception venue. But I'm not sure it's doable. Plenty of time to make decisions yet. I just discovered they had more exhibitions upstairs that we didn't know was there. We just th0ught it was the fashion show. Ah wells.

Honestly Lozza is the bestest best friend one could hope for. She gave up her Sunday morning sleep in and dragged herself into Luna Park to support me. Then she carried SOOO MUCH stuff for me while we had a look around. Honestly there must of been 10kg or so of magazines alone. I love you Lozza!

Then I rushed off from there to Cronulla and Trish's baby shower. She is 30 / 31 weeks and looks FABULOUS! She is such an adorable girl and I was so happy to get together with her and meet some of her friends. The lunch was really yummy! I skipped dessert (I reckon I should of stayed) But I was keen to get to the Pittwater Annual Bridal Expo.

I needn't have bothered rushing. It was actually quite small and uninspiring. All I know now is that I don't want my wedding reception there. But I suppose at least I do know that. Oh and I have amazing blisters on my hands from the crutches LOL.

Then Jason and I sat down to a movie last night. We watched a real tear jerker called Taking Chance. It's about an officer who requests to take a PFC from his home town back to the family after he is killed in action in Iraq. It is based on a true story about this 20 y.o PFC. I cried and cried and cried some more. Highly Highly recommended.

Today has been nice. I needed a day of doing nothing so that's what I've done. I'm in bed with my tupperware catalogues and information, my bridal magazines and my laptop. I did create a fan page for my tupperware business called My Tupperware Lady on facebook. And 12 people have joined already so they must be Tupperfans like me. Feel free to join my page. It's fairly bare right now but I am sure I will be able to build it given some time.

I really need some hosts for parties right now. In order to get started I need to have 4 - 6 parties booked in a matter of weeks. If you can host a party for me please let me know. It can be yourself and 3 or 4 mates or a whole bunch of people doesn't matter! There's FREE Tupperware for you too! Hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth so it's a well rewarded exercise.

There are lots of fun parties to be had. Cockatail Parties, Taste of Tupperware, Chocoholics parties etc.

OK now the official stats etc. I so don't want to share. I feel like a damn Yoyo!

38 / 84

I haven't blogged properly for awhile and I apologise about that. I have been trying to get my life back together in my house in Sydney. It's not easy to have a life in two different places and only others that have left family in other states or countries would understand what I mean. I am so close to my parents that it kills me to not be near them.

So I arrived home nearly a couple of weeks ago now. I made it up and down the stairs (with my crutches) I did think that I would be sleeping on the blow up bed in the lounge room for awhile there.

I hadn't mentioned on my blog that there was some MAJOR nastiness here before I left between the Mother in Law and I. Enough that Jason was very horrified and stopped speaking to her for quite some time. I was NOT looking forward to returning to the scene of the crime so to speak. While I will never forget what was said, (It was a totally one sided attack against me the day after the proposal I overheard her speaking to someone else) I was happy to completely ignore her if she would ignore me.

She is apparently very upset about what she said and has ignored it completely and been really rather nice to me. I forgive, but won't forget and I have been really nice in return. Ah wells. The life huh!

We have a TV room upstairs which tends to be my domain and I leave the TV in the living room to the MIL's viewing (It's almost permanently fixed to the Lifestyle Food channel). The TV upstairs also has the foxtel IQ since I only seem to watch shows that collide with each other and I only like to watch them once they are recorded. (yes I am a fussy bitch LOL)

Well of course I blew up the TV didn't I! I was only in there for a day or two! :( We've known it's been going for a little while because the picture tube would scream if it had been on awhile. I thought when it did blow simple! I would re do the room and get a big flat screen in there. The reality is when you haven't worked for 4 months the flat screen is not an attainable item. (Bugger)

I have RGB cables running from there to my TV in the bedroom and I'm going backwards and forwards to set my recordings, change channel, watch recordings etc. I think it's great exercise LOL.

Talking about exercise the weight has been coming off. It's no speedy process that's for sure but it is dropping. I'm now 8kg down overall and 6kg down since the start of the challenge 38 days ago.

I would love to take Storm for walks now that I am home but I have no chance of doing so. I worry because she no longer has the full on contact she used to at Mum's and Dad's. There she lives inside 100% of the time and is smothered by Trigger (my brothers dog) for attention and playtime. Here she isn't allowed to step a foot in the door and I can't play much with her. Nothing super active anyway. I tend to sit on the retaining wall and cuddle and pat her. But it's never enough.

I would love to have a scooter again so I can go around the block with her. She has lost weight too and I worry about her putting weight back on. She needs to get a little more off if anything.

I am busily planning my Tupperware announcement party which is on Saturday. If you are in Sydney and would like to come please let me know and I'll give you the details. I would LOVE your support. If you can't make it I can mail a catalogue to anywhere. There are some awesome deals on this month. OR you could host a party and pick up HEAPS of FREE Tupperware. What more could a girl ask for??

Actually I would LOVE it if anyone could host a party for me. I have to do 6 parties to help me get on my feet and also to pay for my kit. I expect once those are done I should be able to start getting out there on my own but the start is always nerve wracking and I would SOOO love to do it with friends than start demonstrating at a strangers house.

I am hopefully heading back to work next week! I have gotten my doctor to write a report for work so I can get back without causing myself any damage. But work has so far said they think that it's going to be tricky. ARGGHHH. I do hope that they let me come back. Not only do I need the cash I need to work again! I need to get my life back on track. Although I plan for it to have a few changes.

I haven't had the opportunity to go wedding "shopping" yet. The first plan is to find a place to hold our engagement party. So I might start getting onto that in the next few days. Apparently the hotel around the corner from us has just been rebuilt - Jason and his Mum were the licensee's there many many moons ago. I'll check that out. In the 8 years I have lived here we have never even gone there for a drink or a counter meal or anything. I think that's weird! I also think I might check out the local RSL's and there's a workers club or something around too. Normally places like that are good for cheap food and drink and room hire etc.

Life has been abnormally busy since coming home. I am normally the girl you can find on the couch at home most nights and at work during the days (and most nights LOL) But it's been great since I got back. I'm hardly ever here. And I'm hardly ever alone. I'm not generally a person that likes being alone.

Last weekend I went the big chop! I had shoulder length hair and last time I coloured it I loved the colour. So I kept the colour (well re coloured it the same) And tried to go for the Posh Bob or Pob. I can't do the back quite the same because I have ridiculously thick hair and I was sooo nervous when she was chopping away at it but I love it! I love the way it frames my face. I love the colour and I love that I can now wash and dry and straighten it myself. Not as well as the hairdresser did but still I can do it! I have never been able to do my own hair. It's a nightmare.

I do want to chemically straighten my hair though. However it's damn expensive so that is on the rewards list.

After we (Loz came with me and had her hair done too) left the hairdresser we headed off to see Pinks opening Sydney show. I have never ever been to a concert before. I have a MAJOR fear of crowds so I made it to the ripe old age of 28 before gaining the courage to go to a concert and I am SOOO glad I did. Lozza bought me the ticket for my birthday. We got in early so I could get in on the crutches without too much fuss. We had seats - not just any seats but the BEST SEATS IN THE HOUSE!

Faker was below average. I was soooo bored. Everyone around us was saying "ok great finish now" after every song.

When they did get off stage the crowds danced more to the recorded music than to Faker. That's a sad state of affairs.

By the time she started I was screaming (like so many others) I thought I had busted my vocal cords I screamed so loud! My hands were red from all the clapping. What a show! Honestly you hear so many stories about how good this woman is as an entertainer and nothing will do her justice. I would love to go again and again and even without money my heart skipped a beat when I heard she'd released 2 more shows. The costumes. The singing. The dancing. The acrobatics! OH MY OH MY. No words.

BUY TICKETS PEOPLE! GO SEE PINK IN CONCERT!!!! You will not regret it ever.

Sunday night we had a small dinner party type thing with some of my closest friends. Loz and her hubby Jon, Simmo and her hubby Rob and Carissa and her fiance Nick. We decided on a Mexican theme and everyone bought a dish (or two or 3!) The margaritas flowed. The food was awesome and most of all the friendship we all share makes for an awesome night.

My friends are sooo important to me and I am grateful to every single one of them. I have never had heaps of friends but the ones I do have I love with all my heart.

Tomorrow I am lucky enough to be catching up with some more of them at the Sydney blogger dinner. (Did we miss anyone? Drop me a line for the details) And there's a few people who will be there that I haven't met before too so a chance to make new friends as well.

Sunday I am going to try and do a run through of a bridal expo at Luna Park before another girlfriends baby shower. I am so excited because I love the idea of the harbour and the lights etc. I'm not sure if it's doable or not but they have never had a wedding expo there before so I don't want to miss it. Esp if it turns out to be "the place" you know.

Now my girlfriend having the baby shower. She hasn't found out the sex of the baby. But she has asked that we bring our favourite childhood book and I would love your feedback! Is Black Beauty a unisex book? My favourite book as a child was black beauty's family. It detailed their lives. Was about 600 pages but I still treasure that book and it's a hardcover so if I find it I was thinking that's the one. But then I keep thinking it may be girlly. I dunno. I am so excited for her. She is 30 weeks now and such an amazing girl. I'm sooo clucky! LOL

After that if I get back in time I will run through the northern beaches wedding expo. Their once a year thing is on this Sunday too! And since it will have all the local suppliers (I'll be getting married on the northern beaches) I really need to check all that out too.

Then maybe after that I will finally get to drag Jason out to the movies. I have la premiere tickets that Carissa and Nick gave me for my birthday we still haven't used and I want to go see The Hangover, it looks funny!

Full day huh!

15 / 84

Well today got totally wasted by some stupid courier who never showed up. Don't you love hiring tradies / couriers / whatever and they give you a timeline that they will arrive at your abode. Normally either 8am - 1pm or 1pm - 5pm.

Either way unless you PLANNED on spending your day waiting for the doorbell to ring it's all stuffed.

Today we were waiting on a courier to arrive sometime between 1pm and 5pm. Guess who no showed? SO ANNOYED! There is so much other stuff to be done than wait for them. Luckily we had some things to do around the house but I would have loved to go out just down the street. For a walk. Or to go buy the dog food (They aren't impressed when you don't feed them)

As you all know I'm on a diet of shakes at the moment but right now I am craving salt badly. I would love some chips or even the chicken sausages that Mum cooked the family for dinner. I'm never keen on sausages so to have such strong cravings for me is very very weird.

But ultimately I have to stick to whats working for me and right now that's the shakes so no sausage for Jadey (get your minds out of the gutter my fiance is interstate)

Talking about whats working - today is weigh in day no. 2

I am very happy to say the scales this morning rewarded me with a weight of 121.3 kg which is 5.6kg down on my original weight. 4.4% down. WOOHOO. I can't complain about that now can I? The big losses don't happen always and forever.

I'm only 1.4kgs away from my first reward of a pedicure (I hope I can handle the massage by then) And I am hoping to have it down at the Hot Springs in Rye while my Mum has a Massage I bought her for Christmas. I love the Hot Springs - I definitely want to go down there before I go home, just in the baths. MMM SO relaxing. If you haven't been - do it!

Only 10 sleeps until Jason arrives for the Dutt0n Rally. I miss him like crazy - I'm not up to shooting it with him and thankfully we have someone else coming down to help. Michael helped us with the easternats so it's nice to know we can rely on somebody to help us when we need it, he's a brilliant photographer.

Day 1, Week 1 (124.9kg)

Well I haven't gotten off to the start I thought I would today. I really should have. There are no excuses.

I've done quite a bit of walking / shuffling today which is good. So I can tick the box for movement. But food was terrible! I am supposed to be on shakes and vegetables only.

11am - Shake
2pm Chicken Pie (they are lean but it's not a shake is it)
7:30pm Haloumi
9pm 5 min chocolate cake and ice cream

SHIT!

Well I was supposed to get out of the house today but my poor Mum had apparently spent the night vomiting and was suffering vertigo so all of our appointmwnts for today were cancelled and moved around. I basically spent the day looking after her (role reversal but I'm no where near as good at looking after her as she is of me) looking after the dogs. (2 of which are wounded at the moment that story another day) And watching tv.

I watched Secrets Of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood and the first disc in the Original Underbelly series. I haven't seen any of it being that I was in Melbourne while it was showing (and banned) and I moved to Sydney just after it finished airing on our tv. I believe it's being played on TV again now.

I was up early though so hopefully that's a start to getting my sleeping patterns under control. Because I can;t drive I unfortunately haven't been able to go shopping for my soup ingredients. And when I stood on the scales this morning my weight was down from yesterday to 124.9kg. I told ya there was some water weight there. That means I've lost 1.6% of my body weight so far. (How very biggest loser of me) BTW I'm a daily weigher. It works for me - when I don't weigh in daily I go off the track when I do I lose weight so no negative comments from the peanut gallery please.

I'll attempt to blog something everyday. No promises though :)

And no I'm not posting the recipe for the chocolate cake but if someone else wants it I'll email it to you. (Make it in 5 mins in a mug in the microwave mmm yummm)

Have You ever Taken up a Challenge??

Have you ever taken up a challenge??

I have a few times and at times I have been successful and at other times I have failed miserably. Accepting failure and getting up to accept the challenge again shows character. So that's what I'm going to do now.

We Are Slimming is about to start another challenge. The 12 Week Winter Warm Up Challenge begins tomorrow. I have won this challenge once before. I worked out everyday and I stuck to my eating plan strictly and I lost a hell of a lot of weight. Being accountable and having somewhere to report can be a great help.

The last couple of times I have taken this on I have to admit I have let life get in the way and I stopped being accountable after the first week. Not good. I'm hoping the fact that I am home bored for at least another month means that I am going to get into the habit of posting and updating etc so that when I go back to work I keep it up!

Please come join us if you have a goal you are reaching for. This challenge is completely free and you have nothing to lose except kilograms :) You can start any day this week. It doesn't have to be tomorrow.

I took my starting photos, measurments etc tonight. Oh Boy. I have never been so big before and it's enough to make anyone want to cry. The challenge only requires I take a waist measurement but habit says I take multipoint measurements. I think it also helps show where I am losing from etc.

I hate these photos so hopefully being ballsy enough to post them on my blog helps me stick to the right path. I can tell that when I do get to my goal weight though I'll be upset for wearing shorts so you can't really see the full hideousness of my legs. Cause there's nothing like a comparison photo haha. Unfortunately I didn't bring any bathers or anything to Melbourne with me. :(

Post Surgery Musings

Well I got my cast off! Yay!!! Oh my goodness. I never knew how hard it would be to cope post op. I never realised how annoying the cast can be and I'll be honest I was pretty lucky. It didn't stink and it didn't itch too badly. The last couple of days it was starting to itch crazily.

When he pulls it off you can see there's two casts on there. Excuse the hairy leg you can't shave under the cast :P

It was damn heavy in the end and very uncomfortable though. It kept going soft and had to be reinforced which in the end left me with about 15kg of plaster uncomfortably hanging around my ankle. If the surgeon didn't take off the cast when I went to visit I was going to ask to have it off and restart by shopping around for a fibreglass cast which is a lot lighter and stronger.

I have a couple of weeks before I start physio and at the moment I am doing little tiny walks with crutches. By little I mean TINY it takes me 10 minutes (without exaggeration) from couch to toilet which is probably 15 - 20 metres. And doing that once or maybe twice per day is my maximum. Both for walking and for my poor shoulder which is still giving me hassles.

It's a little bruised looking but it's ok.

You know what I have learnt here though? I asked questions of my surgeons in relation to weight loss and having the surgery and was told weight wasn't going to be a problem. Anaesthetics aren't like they used to be you know. Your weight doesn't really make that much difference blah de blah blah.

Well if I had of known the struggles I would face being over weight post surgery I would have made a much bigger effort to get it off beforehand I tell you.

Not only was using crutches hard (which as we know with the previous injury quickly became impossible) BUT it all started before the surgery. I was given a gown, hat, booties and paper undies to wear into surgery.

The paper undies barely made it above my knee! I told the nurse I'm keeping my own on cause they don't fit. I thought the paper undies were embarrassing but having these bulky paper undies not fit was even more embarrassing.

The sponge baths in hospital while appreciated had me very self conscious about my fat arse even in my drugged state. I even felt sorry for the poor nurses who had to deal with such a sight.

When it came time to move anywhere and do anything that presented it's own challenges. Do you know how hard it is to lift 127kg? It's not light. Even regular weight lifters would call that hefty. And to get anywhere you need to lift yourself. Lift yourself out of wheelchair to toilet and off. Off and on couches. Getting in and out of bed, in and out of cars. EVERYTHING.

When it came time to using a wheelchair (I've had two now) My thighs are so big they push out the armrests and rub on the wheels. I look a little like a big sausage stuffed into a little sausage skin. I am so big it's hard to control and push a wheelchair especially when your thighs are on fire from the rubbing and the person pushing is dealing with the resistance issues.

(Who is this girl and how did she get so fat?)

When it came to using scooters I had to check the weight ratings. I had to leave the arm rests up because they lift by themselves otherwise. I just don't fit! I would get into tight spots and the scooter would fit through and my hips would brush on whatever we were passing.

Even now - My weight is causing more pain than necessary while I am trying to relearn to walk.

Doing this again - it's time for me to get serious. It's time for me to get as much weight as possible off before going into my next ankle surgery. I also recommend to anyone looking at having any surgery to take whatever measures to get it off before your surgery despite what your doctor says.

Well I'm off work through all of May and I'm out of leave so that sucks badly! The bills don't stop just because you do and I wish I had planned better to cover myself but I think I'll be OK. Maybe. I'll call Jason LOL.

PS According to my latest weigh in, I'm down 2.9kgs to 124kg. At least it's begun.

Weekend Wrap Up

Hey all! It's been a fairly quiet weekend around these parts. We didn't do anything Friday night, I worked Saturday and Sunday Jase went out to the drags while I went out to the Dogs Day Out.

Jason basically spent all of Friday night cleaning out the study. SOO much clutter has seen the last of it's days in our house. I was so suprised and over them moon! The study is NEVER clean. His motivation is the fact that he wants one of the big trestle desks so he needs to clean up or it wont fit in the room!

We are in desperate need of a few good bookshelves though. I have books and the like all over the house. And a filing cabinet or two wouldn't go astray either. I really like the big white trestles too. Even though I am never in the study. I much prefer to be on the couch upstairs or in bed - either way with my lappy where it belongs (in my lap) in front of the telly watching whatever happens to be on at the same time.

We really need to work on decluttering the rest of the hosue as well. Oh ok forget that I live with an 81 year old woman. She loves her china dolls and little knick knacks. But we can get rid of a whole pile of other stuff anyway.

Saturday I was at work. I also had some spare time on my hands and so now I have discovered many iPhone applications. I now have a budget manager, iBowl, Audi A4 race car driving, Toilet Mate (I can see this being the most handy application ever!) and Near Me

Most were free, The budget manager cost me though. Not A cheao one but I'm hoping it will pay for itself.

Sunday morning I enjoyed a sleep in while Jase went to the drags. It was a hot one today. Storm and I eventually headed up to the local oval here (about 1km away) for Dogs Day Out. I wasn't impressed :( In years gone by they have had better stalls and more activities. I'm upset I missed Dogs Day By The Bay at Bayview. That's always a good doggy event.

The rest of today I have been sitting in front of the television catching up on stuff recorded on the IQ and doing my ironing. I got this great ironing "net" from magnamail (or something) so I can iron anything on the highest heat over printing, on more delicate clothes. It stops any shine as well! Makes life a bit easier.

Then tonight Jase and I went out for ice cream at royal copenhagen in the Manly Corso. We've been going to Cold Rock lately when we want ice cream but really with all the add in's I like etc Cold Rock is really VERY expensive. We got 2 icecreams from Royal Copehagen for what I would have paid for 1 at Cold Rock.

I shouldn't have had it at all since I am not losing weight (weigh in Saturday morning was 124.8kg) but hey it's much better to buy the occassional ice cream than buy a tub. A little of the good stuff.

I think I've been scaring people with my new hair but overall the response has been positive. I found my diary in the study clean up (been missing since I moved up from Melbourne) I'm so glad I have it cause now I can transfer birthdays etc to my electronic diary. (Not that I remember to send cards or call or anything)

Anyway I am going to watch a movie with my boy and he's refusing to start it until I get off the computer (He's foreign to this doing two things at once stuff like most men) So best I keep moving.

Have a great week!
